Faithful Friday / Reflecting Jesus

Recently, the youngest children and I went fishing at my brother's pond. As the day drew to a close, the sky and reflections on the water caught my creative eye, so I grabbed my camera.

As I snapped one picture after another, I began to notice that the water was a picture perfect mirror of the beautiful sky above!

Daddy G has always spoken to me through nature. I love His characteristic of being Creator God, and am just in Awe of that aspect of His Divine nature!

As I was enthralled with the mirroring image of sky on water, I realized . . . I should be that way, too! Just as the water reflected the mirror of the sky, I should reflect the mirror image of JESUS!

How my heart longs for there to be such a similarity between Jesus and I that those looking the closest can scarcely tell the difference!

Isn't that just the neatest thought? That others could see Jesus in me just as easy as I could see the sky in the water, or is it the water in the sky? That I would REFLECT JESUS in every way, all throughout every day?

The Lord tells us how in I John 2:6. He says,

"Whoever says He abides in Him ought to walk in the same way in which He walked."

and Ephesians 5:1-2 tells us,

"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."

Dear Jesus,

I love You, Lord, and I want to reflect You in the earth. I want to be Your mirror image so that others can see You. Help me to ABIDE in You and walk like You walked. I need You to help me imitate You by walking in LOVE. I want every day of my life to be a fragrant offering and a Holy sacrifice to You! Let my life Glorify You . . . Let me be a Reflection of Your Love, in Your Holy name I pray! Amen!
