Faithful Friday / "Physician Heal Thyself!"

Last week I had these moments!

These emotions manifested while talking with a friend. The friend lovingly and sweetly pointed out to me that I was carrying the burden of a situation instead of walking in the joy and freedom of abundant living that Christ died for me to have. During our conversation of digging at the root of this, Holy Spirit through the loving voice of my friend, pointed out that I was AFRAID of being wrong!

As we dug deeper, I had an 'Ah-Ha' moment that the being afraid of being wrong went deeper and further back than I realized.

As a child, I was mocked and belittled mercilessly, because of my carefree, child-like trust, and the simple mindset of faith in which I embraced and lived my life. As this revelation began to flow, I heard or thought,

"Physician Heal Thyself"!

I had started crying in the conversation with my friend. I tell my clients all the time "if it hurts it ain't healed!" So, when the waterworks started, I knew there was some unhealed wounds that needed prayer. Another truth, my friend pointed out was that what she was hearing in my voice wasn't peace, so I was trying to operate outside of God's Kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy (see Romans 17:14/ yet another verse that I share with clients all the time!) How many times I've said "Let God's peace be your fleece!"

Isn't it strange how quickly we can see the splinter in other's eyes, and totally overlook the one in our own? (see Matt. 7:3-5)

I immediately began to repent!. Forgiving those who had hurt me as a child, realizing yet another unrecognized wounding. I blessed, prayed for, and released them! Then I took Jesus' precious Blood, and applied it to the wounded places in my heart! TOTAL, IMMEDIATE, INSTANT HEALING AND RESTORATION took place! Yeah, that is the BEST NEWS EVER! Such FREEDOM and PEACE, flooded my soul!

Thank You, Sweet JESUS, for finishing it on the cross for me and supplying everything that I need for Godly living (II Peter 1:3)! May I never become so prideful that I don't heed the loving nudge of Holy Spirit whispers, as He speaks through a loving brother or sister.
