Meet CUDDLES!

She's my late (according to me) birthday present from Daddy G.

The story goes like this . . .

Back in March, I got to wanting a kitten. So, I put in my order to Heaven via

Daddy G. I was very specific.

- A domestic longhaired, tri-colored, green eyed, 6-8 week old kitten, and her name was to be Cuddles! -

After, I told Daddy G what I wanted for my birthday, I began to tell others to keep their eyes open and be on the look out for my kitten that I was getting for my birthday. I've learned that you never know who or what the Lord will use to fulfill His plans.

This wasn't the first time I had specifically asked Daddy G for a sweet surprise. He had already came through before, so I was confident that He would come through again. Well, my birthday in May came and went. Through June and July, I was still full of faith that Cuddles would be delivered any day.

By August, my faith began to waver a bit. I began to second guess myself, thinking that maybe it wasn't a good time to take on the responsibility of a baby kitten. I had almost stop talking about getting Cuddles. Somewhat sad and disappointed, I resigned myself to maybe it just wasn't Daddy G's timing, or maybe I had just been too "picky" !

In mid September, I was sharing my dilemma with a friend who had yet to hear about my very, late birthday wish. She was very sweet about it, but her thoughts were along the line of . . .

"Yeah, maybe, that was being a tad bit too specific."

I was even toying with the idea of maybe I should just settle for any kitten instead of having to have just that particular kitten.

The very next day a friend of hers mentioned that she and her children had rescued an orphaned litter of two week old baby kittens that they were having to raise on bottles. My friend told the lady about her conversation with me, and how I had specifically wanted just the "right" kitten. To which the lady responded,

"One of the orphaned kittens looks just like that!" . . . And she does!

My Heaven Made-To-Order kitty was 3 hours away, being raised on a bottle, so she was sure to be extra gentle and cuddley, and she was colored to perfection! Right down to her green eyes. When the lady placed her in my arms , she said, "Her eyes are the exact same color of yours."

I know she's just a kitten, but to me she's more than that. Cuddles is a living reminder that my Daddy G cares about every minute detail of my life, and He cares about yours, too! So, when you pray, CUDDLES says,

"Be Specific! Our Heavenly Father cares, and He is FAITHFUL!"

"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart." Psalms 37:4 (NKJV)
