Faithful Friday / 25 YEAR OLD PROMISE FULFILLED!

When we are in the middle of a painful season, it's hard to keep believing what you believe God has told you or promised you. Such was my situation in February 1985!

We had 3 children - three precious little girls. Katrina, the baby, was just one year old, but I was consumed with the desire for more children, as I wrote in my first book -

"I was almost overcome with a burden, a burning passion, a deep desperation for more children that did not make sense, even to me."

In my pain, Daddy G told me,

"I will make you the Mother of many children!"

I heard Him. I believed Him, but the next 16 months brought 4 miscarriages along with much pain and confusion. That's a whole other story in itself, so I just want to touch on one aspect of it. It was during this time that Daddy G made me a promise. He promised me another baby girl!

The years rolled forward as time will do. Following God's leading, He revealed why I had such a burning passion for children. He had several that needed a mama and daddy, and He had chosen Billy and I for the job. So, we completed 18 adoptions, and were now the blessed parents of 21 miracles from God. And in all honesty, I had forgotten the PROMISE He had made 25 years before.

Take a good look at the picture above! It is the manifestation of that 25 year old promise! I had forgotten, but my loving Daddy G certainly had not! He keeps His PROMISES!

Little Olivia Elizabeth Walker came home 25 years after Daddy G made the promise to me of another baby girl. She was born addicted with drugs in her system. She died when she was 6 days old, but Praise the Lord, she was at the doctor's office when she stopped breathing, and they were able to resuscitate her. So my PROMISE was attacked , killed, and then God raised my Promise back to life! He is an ABSOLUTE PROMISE KEEPER!

I just want to encourage you with Olivia's story that if God, the Lord of the Whole Universe, has made you a PROMISE it WILL come to pass! The devil may try to attack it and kill it, but what Daddy G has spoken to your heart will surely come to pass.

Because ALL HIS PROMISES ARE YES AND AMEN!
