And Obeyed God

Peggy, our eldest daughter, made this beautiful wall art for me in December 2018. It still makes me smile every time I see it. Each family member is represented by one of the little birds. Every time I look at it, I am reminded of our 28 children: 3 biological, 24 adopted, and one just because! Our 28 Blessings! Our 28 Miracles!

Without those three little words . . .

"And Obeyed God"

that wall and our lives would look a whole lot different ! And quite frankly, I can't even began to imagine the bareness of the wall and the holes left in our hearts.

You might not can see it in the big picture, but two to the birds that represent Billy and I have little red hearts on our chests. We have disagreed about a lot of things over the years, but I praise God that we agreed about opening our hearts and home to these blessings - our children! And we obeyed God!

I just want to encourage you that if you are considering the wonderful, scary walk of adoption or fostering . . . YES, it's God! It may not always be easy, but I can promise you this - IT'S DEFINITELY WORTH IT, THEY ARE WORTH IT!

And if you feel, "Nah, that's not for me!", then please be Jesus' hands and feet to those that are called to this ginormous opportunity. They need your help and support, and there's something we each can do. Let's care for the orphans like Abba Father said! Let's OBEY God!
